I've been running in to simular problems, which I find strange since the construction/housing market has slowed way down. You'd think people would be looking for work. Here's been my experience:
Bohm Builders drags thier heils on getting you quotes and is waaay to expensive.
Bill Rapaich, a local carpenter and general contracter says he can do the job, promisses to get you quotes, and then doesn't call you back.
And then you have the LLPOA, for permits they tell you 2-3 days is normally the turn around, it's more like 2-3 weeks.
Sorry it took so long, but I talked to our neighbor and they used Tim (?) Anderson of Anderson Home Improvements (I think that's it, not up there at the moment).
The guy has a place on Brave Island, and advertizes in Smoke Signals.
Not a recommendation, just someone to talk to if you haven't already.
Thanks for the input guys. I'm going with Advance Roofing Specialists - http://www.roofinggreenbay.com They've been very professional thus far. The roof goes on next week.
y2k,
Our neighbor just got theirs redone earlier this spring and they seemed to go a good job. Was done by someone who lives on Brave Island.
I'll be up this weekend and will talk to them and see if I can get you contact info.
(Also, have noticed the 'nobody follows through' problems up there).

Thanks Tommy, any leads are appreciated.
