I was very glad to see some comment on the Lodge boat launch ramp.  It has been a major frustration to have voted to spend the $45,000 (if I recall) for that beautiful new ramp and not be able to get my boat out because of the significant damage caused by people powering their boats onto trailers, digging a huge trench at the foot of the ramp, and building a mound of rock across the water entrance to the ramp and within 6" of the water surface.  I have an inboard ski boat, and now I can't even float my boat to the ramp since the rudder and prop shaft hang up on the blasted out pile of rock, and my trailer drops off the end of the ramp into the hole and hangs up on the frame.

The repair each each season would take minutes with a back hoe to pull the rock pile back in to fill the hole it came from, but the ultimate fix would be to prohibit people from powering on to trailers to begin with. But we all know and have observed that most of the ramp users during the season are not lake owners and could care less about the inconvenience to others they cause.  It would take full time surveilance to solve that problem.  Repairing the damage would take minutes.  It's hard to understand why this is so problematic.
