im guessing since you both caught a sturgeon that you didnt just stumble upon them… what part of Legend were you on and what did you catch them with?  I just started trying for stergeon last summer with no luck.  I was going off the bottom with crawlers in about 40 ft of water.  around 5-7am in the 40 ft of water, there were huge fish leaping out of the water… their whole body would clear the water and they looked a little like stergeon… i got a pretty good look because every once in a while they would jump so close to the boat i could cast over them!  wonder if stergeon jump like that?  this would happen every morning i went out there in early august.

 These were actually two Sturgeon being looked at by the Menominee Conservationist.  Back in October of 2004 they stocked the lake with a bunch of small ones - here's what they look like:

Otherwise, I can't say I've ever seen one or heard of one being caught on the Lake.
