Hello all I’m just stopping by to say Hi to all the people on Legend Lake. This is a great asset to the weekend warrior especially when you have a very long drive ahead of you. Who ever is doing this is great and from what I understand he does this in his spare time. So Bravo! Well done the page looks better then ever hopefully it stays up for a long time. The only good thing I think 90% of the people who are on the association are like 80+ years old and don’t have a PC so they cant read this. But WTF is going on with the LLPOA last I heard someone stole like 300K from the LLPOA. i have more questions but not enought time lol i'll be back later. 2006-09-21 20:36:12.028 2006-09-21 20:36:11.923 What I've heard is it was close to $75K that was embezzled (by someone with a gambling problem). The only reason this was possible is the old LLPOA Board decided they would try to save the property owners some money by not having an annual audit done. Some what ironic, ey? ;) I should also mention that the annual audit is mandated in the Association By-Laws - and that is why the old Board was forced to resign. 2006-09-21 23:43:40.92 2006-09-21 23:43:40.819 That’s so funny. I’m glad that they were forced to resign. I could not even imagine dealing with the association. Another question I am not sure if it was the old board or the new one, anyway I remember hearing stories that the board would hold meetings and vote on things and it would be in the middle of the week and not tell anyone and pass anything they wanted things. Also I remember quite a while back rumors that they were trying to pass a “slow no wake” for the entire lake! I was really mad about that one. I don’t think that would ever pass but if they pulled some s%$# like they had in the past it could happen. There are a lot of really strange things that happen on that lake. For example I guess the LLPOA voted on not letting the police patrol the lake but some how they came in anyway. The one thing I wish they would do is make the lake a private lake everyone who lives on the lake pays so much money to be on that lake and people get in for free. Also it would be nice to get those cops off the lake also. They really make up some real BS. I got a ticket a while back for being to close to shore I was on a jet ski. I mean really how can you tell exactly how far I was away and the really crappy thing was that the cop was heading right for me and I had to move out of his way so I moved closer to shore and slowed down he came after me and gave me a $150 fine.
